“Like most porn performers, I perpetuated this lie. One of my favorite things to say when asked if I liked doing a particular scene was, “I only do what I like! I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t like it!” (I would say this with a big fake smile and giggle.) What a total lie! I did what I had to...
LIBFEM BULLSHIT.

I can’t even deal with this right now. Can someone else take this one?

“Just like any other job”
Do baristas get raped, killed, and abused on the job? Do baristas regularly get STDs from doing their job? Do the customers regularly humiliate and sexually degrade them? Do baristas have to sell their own bodies as commodities to get living wages?
Sex work is inherently exploitative of women and children. To support sex work and prostitution is to support rape, misogyny, and the objectification of women and chidren’s bodies.
Baristas are not being abducted from developing countries and trafficked into cities to make coffee. Baristas are not being trafficked into the streets by manipulative pimps that control their time, food consupmtion, sleep –basic human needs, in short. Baristas have protection from the law, whereas prostitutes do not. If abused, baristas can seek legal representation and are not criminalized for their employment position. Prostitutes are criminalized for their abuse, rather than their abusers (eg, the johns and pimps), and are often abused and raped by law enforcement. The average age of a barista in this country is NOT twelve, which is the average age of a prostitute. Baristas are providing customer service, and generate sales of food and beverage items that are outside of their selves. Their bodies are not commoditized. Baristas can safety leave their jobs if dissatisfied with the workload, whereas prostitutes can only leave if they are arrested, runaway, or survive the brutality of their pimps. Also, baristas can be sure to return to their homes and relationships after leaving their jobs, while many prostitutes have been forcibly removed from their home states, cities, and/or countries, are separated from family or friends, or will face crippling stigma if somehow returned.
This meme is laughable and disgusting because it equates coffee and scones to the mouths, assholes, and developing reproductive organs of young women and children. The maker of this should be ashamed.

….. ok, i might be wrong here but i think that if someone wants to charge to have sex with other ppl, with they are both consenting with the deal, i dont see why not?
like really, i dont understand how is this any less of a job than any other? and i mean…i dont know maybe im just weird
if they are both consenting to have sex with each other, why do they need to exchange money?
Only one sleep until a different day. (by booksofadam for yrbff)
“ I am not in love with you. I am in love with the idea of you. If it’s any consolation, you’re the best idea I’ve ever had. I’m sorry. ”

Can we make it known that binge-eating isn't a bad thing? You can work it off. Please don't let people feel bad for having cravings.
Hey, you’re wrong. Binge-eating is actually very bad because it involves uncontrollably eating large amounts of food and is usually followed by tremendous amounts of guilt and the desire to ‘work it off’, which can develop into even more disordered behavior and hinder mental health. Just a reminder. Google ‘Binge Eating Disorder’, ‘Orthorexia’, or eating disorders in general for more information.
Also: binge eating and over eating ARE NOT THE SAME THING
morning-mountains
It’s Monday morning and your body is exhausted after a weekend of binge eating. 10,000-20,000 calories a day. You tell yourself, ‘Today is going to be different. I am not going to binge today.’ You promise yourself that you’re going to harm yourself if you binge. So, you make it through breakfast. You have a piece of fruit and some oatmeal. Then, your ED starts to makes its appearance for the 4th week in a row. You’re tired. Your body is tired. You don’t want to do it, but you end up going to the store and charging $100 worth of food that you’re going to eat in an hour on a credit card that you can’t even make payments on because all of your money has gone towards more food. You get home, you try your hardest not to open the package, but it’s out of your control. Suddenly, you’re in. It’s too late. Once you start, it is impossible to stop. One bag of chips: check. One gallon of ice cream: check. One pizza: check. One box of macaroni and cheese: check. A dozen donuts: check. A loaf of bread: check. Now your body is filled to it’s absolute max. You can’t move, you’re surrounded by boxes and wrappers that would fill an entire bathtub. You’re ashamed, so you keep yourself locked in your room until your roommate is asleep, now you can take out the evidence that you have once again failed to beat your ED. It’s Monday, it’s the start of the week, you’ve already messed up, so what’s the point of starting over tomorrow? You can just start over next Monday when you know you’ll be ready. Tomorrow, instead of going to class you’ll head to the store, charge $100 on that credit card you can’t afford to make payments on, come home, lock yourself in your room, and consume another 10,000-20,000 calories until you can no longer feel anything. You will keep eating until you cannot feel anymore pain. You will just keep eating.
